ronr: Discord is new to most of us but there is a GREAT DEAL of privacy there.  You need to be invited to even see our page.  Download of the app is easy and there are plenty of directions

Yeah.. it sucks to change meds and have to endure all the weird stuff up front.  Sinimet will likely make you feel quite a bit more sleepy.  Your body kinda learns to adapt for the most part.  Just make sure it's doing what it's doing before figuring out whether to continue or not.  That one is likely for your tremors.

With Sinimet (carbidopa), there's a set of symptoms you need to be watching for: high fever, rigidly stiff muscles, confusion, abnormal thinking, fast or irregular heartbeat, and sweating. If a situation like this happens, you need to get to a hospital fast as there is a potentially dangerous condition with these meds called NMS, Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome.  Almost always it happens within 10 -14 days of starting your meds so be on guard for it.  It's rare but it's potentially fatal if not treated immediately!!!

The main thing that carbidopa will do is make you sleepy.  Not the greatest thing as you've found but your body does adapt after a while.  Just be careful at first 'cause it can cause you to fall asleep at the drop of a hat.

Glad to hear that your treatment seems to be in the hands of someone who wants to change your baseline symptoms for the better and that's a good thing!!  Hoping that he lives up to this initial good impression he's making.  :great:
