I didn't know these terms were defined.

ANSWER: "In today's world of mini-measuring spoons, a dash is 1/8 teaspoon; a pinch, 1/16; and a smidgeon, 1/32."

Cool... That's for the rest of us normal folks... My sweet wife doesn't use measuring spoons.. she's one of those amazing cooks that simply use their nose and their taste buds.  Blows my mind.  I follow the recipe to the letter and still manage to screw things up.

My dash is more like a 1/4teaspoon as far as salt goes.
I think my taste buds are going.
