I have an apt later today with my orginal pain doctor. - the one who suggested the amitriptilan and cymbalta. Hoping he will see reason and do something else. Since the NSAIDs I've tried all do nothing for pain but also wreck my stomach up and give serious cramps (like galbladder/appendix pain) and what helped was the hydromorph I'm hoping to get a small prescription for that or maybe oxy, since they both seem about the same with the oxy lasting longer and being a touch "less potent" - or that's what I gathered from my research. I'll update again later with results. Fingers crossed ...

Let's hope the doctor sees the light.  Praying brother... :budy:

Back from doctor. He still insists that "heavy narcotics" are not "suggested for the treatment of fibro" and didn't want to go into the oxy//dilotodad end of things. He did however agree maybe the opioid class might help. So he gave me some tramadol. So we are at least moving forward and away from stuff that dosent work. I'm taking it as a positive. Hopefully this stuff helps. Has anyone used it?

Robby

I used it for probably 10 years, and it worked decently for me during that time, right until the end when like everything else my body got used to it and it stopped working. But everyone is different, what works for one, may or may not work for someone else. Good luck, it is good news.

Tramadol works for the small stuff, at least you have that. Now don't piss off that Dr. LOL

looneylane

Glad to hear it is moving in the right direction for you!

Tramadol is certainly a step in the direction of some pain relief!!  Good stuff... I hope the good news just keeps coming.  :budy:
