I've had a chest cold off and on since about Thanksgiving, and it's starting to get rather bad. I've got a lot of congestion in my lungs that is refusing to clear up. I'm on some rare pills, plus two inhalers, steroids, and anti-biotics, and it's still getting worse. They are making me an appointment at the pulmonioligist. I'm starting to get worried about what I'll have to do to get over this.

Thank You for your prayers.

Thanks for the replies. It feels better just to have someone thinking and praying for you.

Last week when I was admitted to the hospital with "bronchitis", my oxygen level was down to 85%, they were surprised I was still walking. Luckily my lungs responded quickly to the treatment and I was able to go home the next day, but I may have to just bite the bullet and do an in hospital stay for several days. I can tell my oxygen level has fallen back down toward the lower 90's, by the way I feel and how I'm breathing. I can also tell my lungs have gotten more congested than when I left the hospital.

All of this when I've got so much stuff to do out and about in town and not physically able to do it fibro wise or lung wise either. Isn't that the life....

Lots of pneumonia going around this year so don't put it off until you have a case of that.  Talk about an in hospital stay ... and my experienc says that it doesn't really clear out for months.

I know you won't like this one. A friend of mine had a single wide, and got pneumonia not long after it got moved and set up. Come to find out it was the hot water tank thermometer had become loose causing it to over heat and overflow. But the overflow pipe just shot it strait down under the mobile, except the pipe had rotted off and the moisture was entering the home(and the bedroom to boot), thus causing the pneumonia .

Robby, is the anyone that can check your hot water heater?    Or any leaks under the sink?  Anything adding moisture to the house.
We're keeping you in extra thoughts n' prayers.

Thanks for the idea, but because of some frozen and busted pipes this winter just had everything checked and repaired. But, there was nothing other than the busted pipes out of order. Thanks for the prayers.

Keeping you in my prayers, brother.  Lungs are nothing to take for granted!!  Even if it means rest in hospital, do rest and get better soon.  :bighug:

Update: I feel better, but I'm still coughing pretty bad and I can tell there is still congestion in my lungs, it's just not as bad. As I said I've been fighting this off and on since November, so I'm beginning to wonder just what all is wrong in there. Of course I'm still smoking so I've had problems for years, and have known that things would eventually get bad. I just can't break the habit, and I've tried. It's more of an emotional thing than a physical addiction.

I'm still on the prescription decongestant (Theo-24), but I don't know how much it's doing. Although I'm off all the other meds.

Leave it to me to come up with a chronic illness  :rotfl: .
