Nursing Home Time

We are looking at Friday for Karen's Mom to enter a NH...thought it was going to take forever but suddenly there's a room available.

Lot's of stress, relief, and other mixed emotions right now but God's timing is always right....GOD we are wrung out right now!

I understand your mixed emotions, after putting my Mom in a NH. You've done what you had to do for yourself, and for her health and safety. PM me if you need to.  Hang in there it will get better.

  Not an easy situation... glad you were there to make sure the best solution came first, regardless of the emotional pain it's cost.

We all know what a hard decision it has been and what the emotional stress does to you.  BUT - she will have all the extra care that she needs, and help around the clock.  This means that when you visit her, you will all be relaxed and fresh and ready for a great catch up.

We did it for my Grandmother, and she found her spot in the home, and believe me, she knew what was what.  I often found her sitting in the sun reading a book,  her quiet time she called it.  Hate to think what the noisy time was!!!

Take each day as it comes and eventually all will be well.

If Karen was a wartime era Veteran or if she is a Widow of a wartime veteran, and less than $80,000.00 in net liquid assets (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, checking, savings etc) she may qualify for what the VA calls a Death or "Surviving Spouse" Pension. If she does, seek out a Veteran Service Officer, DO NOT use a Private Attorney!!!

Because a private attorney will take a cut of any VA proceeds. VSO'S lie myself do it for free.

The boy went to DAV and they act like he wasn't even there.
CA. has a really horrible VA.
