Internet Speed

I am so disgusted, all I can get is satellite internet and it is slow to start with but if you go over your limit it gets slowed even more. Right now my internet speed is:
Upload      .20Mbps
Download  .44Mbps

U.S. average is
Upload      18.88Mbps
Download  54.97Mbps

So you can imagine just how hard it is to load a webpage without it timing out, and forget about loading a video. Besides a video uses too much data and would push us over the limit.

The part that really burns me up is that over a year ago AT&T ran a fiber optic line in front of the house but all they will say is internet is not available here. No word on when, not even admitting the line has been ran, not officially anyway. The guys that work on the lines will admit it's been ran, but that's all they know.

All I know is I want real internet and I want it now

Wow!!!  That hurts just to think about it.  Makes a guy a little crazy for them to run fibre past and still have no good internet.  I'll bet the fiber was for a nearby plant or big business.  Dang, that blows.

I can almost see where the service ends on either side of me, it's just about a 2 mile stretch here that doesn't have high speed, and there are no government or corporate buildings anywhere within that stretch.
