The Orchid tree was cut back so I did get fewer trees.
Still there is a miniture forest out there.
It's getting about knee high and I haven't even started pullingetting.

Else wise there is purslane. Do u have That?
Good antioxidant.
And everthing else that manages to get a seed here. Which is everything and anything.
Good for me,bad for me. Right now it's all work,at a nonflare time it would be fun.
So it goes. : :( :

Purselane... we call it Portulaca and yep, it literally grows anywhere.  Once it's got itself in there, good grief is it hard to get rid of.  I remember it in our garden back on the farm.  You'd weed the portulaca out every single day and never get rid of it.  Never thought of eating it.  Seriously... it won't kill you or anything?

Yeah,I read the native Americans used it as a trail snake.
I've eaten it myself. Not bad.

Speaking of knee high weeds, we have three pot plants now.
Only 3 out of 9 free seed came up,and we haven't even sexed them yet.  : :( :
It's a win either way.

Tanks Fox!

Still no balls.
From what I read "balls"their word(i think they are seed caseings),appear on the nodes.
The female has hairy balls.
I think the hairs are pistols of a sort that detect pollen. If they detect male pollen it will be a fertilized female.
So it's important they dont! Otherwise it's not going to yield much because the buds will all turn to seed.

Okay. My grasp of the hairy balls may be a little off. :emocrazy:
I never saw any.

The big robust plant turned hermaphrodite.
So I cut it off at a place that hopefully come back.
A male present helps the females be productive and I think it did it's trick.
The other two plants are covered in buds.
Now we need only keep them from being pollinated.
With the fall winds picking up the odds go up. Also bees an such.

We've been feeding them bananas and molasses.  :lmao: but true.

The rest have gone hermaphroditic.  : :( :
I think the security light over stressed them.
We have it covered with a green plate now so
Maybe next me.
If at first you don't succeed, bullshit bullshit bullshit.
Frustrating  :insane:

I tried to grow some, all I did was kill them. Too much water. You have to grow indoors here, no natural sunshine for your plants.

denny

Plant in Rockwood or ground pumice.
U can water till the cows come home without fear of overwatering.
No drainage for this method.

Denny... you said no drainage for this method.  Could you describe what you mean?  Not quite sure if you mean for us not to do something or if it's something the plant does on it's own.  Like, do you have to watch out to not add drainage for the plant or what?

Bonsai is where the idea came from.
Very little organic matter in the mix prevents rot so u can water all u want.
Although it does happen.
With pure Ag. Grade pumice I've been growing plants without a drainage hole.
I haven't tried pot yet but i have several species that have been growing that way for years.

I was wrong about the last two plants being hermaphrodite, they were mail.
However the third is definitely  Female!
So I cut the other down.
One left and definitely female.
That's one out of nine. :emocurse:
But :clapping:

It occurs to me that if you use this method, you might want to keep in mind that hard water and synthetic  fertilizer, while use able in short term will cause salts to build up on the roots after awhile.
Same with any potted plant but worse.   just FYI.

BTW that plant appears to be Kush. :blue thumbs up:
